GPIC Library

In the early days of OSFW, “social media” consisted of a monthly, printed newsletter. The newsletter title was Son Of GPIC, where “GPIC” stood for “Grand Pagoda Insurance Company, an obscure reference to Godzilla movies of the day. At each of our mohthly meetings, one of our “ritual questions” is to ask for GPIC items, i.e., items of general interest to our community.

Today, the group’s Facebook page serves as the location for the modern equivalent of the old newsletter. We currently supplement this by posting meeting announcements, the annual financial statement, and, as of 2023, the meeting minutes on this website. GPIC lives on in those minutes.

This purpose of this page is to post documents that provide a hstorical record of the organization, at least to the extent that records are available.
